PEOPLE IN THE WALLED CITY OF PYONGYANG

Beautiful pictorial of the famous 13 part Korean Folk Dance Suite cultural performance, “People in the Walled City of Pyongyang”, created by the National Art Troupe and set in the time period of the Koguryo Dynasty (277 B.C. — 668 A.D.), a time of high cultural achievement in Korean history.

Through traditional Korean music and dance performances, this work shows the ardent patriotism of the inhabitants, who boundlessly love their country and fight bravely to defend it against foreign invaders. Traditional Korean folk dance pieces like Janggo Dance, Masque Dance, Wooden-Shoes Dance, Sleeve Dance, Flower-Jar Dance and Drum Dance are depicted.
