MY LIFE AND FAITH

MY LIFE AND FAITH

MY LIFE AND FAITH
Moving autobiography if Ri In Mo, one of the world's longest-serving political prisoners, who was imprisoned and tortured for 34 years in South Korea in defence of his beliefs. Born in 1917, Ri In Mo was a war correspondent of the North Korean People's Army during the 1950-53 Korean War. Captured and imprisoned under horrific conditons by the South Koreans at the end of the war, he was, many years later, offered his freedom in exchange for signing a form renouncing his political beliefs. He repeatedly refused, and became one of the world's longest serving political prisoners. Repatriated to North Korea 40 years after being captured, he was received as a national hero of the highest order. Ri In Mo's life potently shows that faith and will are stronger than guns and violence and can never be shackled.
